This website is an online documentary of our lofty attempt to move to the mountains (Cascade Range of the Sierra Nevadas) and build our own timber-framed straw bale house. We have decided to post our progress, challenges and anything else we find interesting here on this website. We are planning on taking lots of photos and writing journals over the course of this project. Mostly intended for friends and family, but also as helpful information to any other owner/builders or adventure prone people. We hope that we can share ideas to give and learn with other people who have undertaken similar projects. Please contact us with any tips or tricks you have picked up along the way. P.S. There is really nothing to do with Bigfoot on this site. Sorry. Although I (Todd) do plan on meeting one while living here. :)
